The Fantasticats are the designs Laurel Burch is best loved for, long-limbed dream cats with knowing eyes and coats patterned in every color she could fit on them.
Laurel Burch was self-taught, and she started at nineteen hammering jewelry from scrap metal in San Francisco to support her children. She was born with a rare bone disease that broke her bones more than a hundred times and often kept her painting from a bed or a wheelchair. None of it made it into the work, which stayed joyful to the end.

Just received my new wallet. It was a replacement for a similar one which I had broken.
I am so impressed with the quality of this one. It's slightly larger than the one it's replacing, so credit cards and IDs fit within the body of the wallet, and don't (and can't!) interfere with the latch.
It also has a fabric accordion section for holding cards, rather than a plastic one. (On an earlier wallet, the plastic section came apart over time, which is when that one bit the dust.)
